Leaving employment for cross-frontier worker in Gibraltar

I have a couple of questions regarding Spanish residents who leave employment in Gibraltar.
1) Are EHIC cards and S1 forms issued in Gibraltar still valid in Europe (until their expiry dates)?
2) Can a person still apply for unemployment benefits (i.e. el paro) if the person has voluntarily resigned from their workplace?
