So, here we go. Women's rights in Spain are being stolen from them as their rights over their own bodies are taken from them from next month. What a disaster for women in Spain. Anyone with the money will get out, just as they leave Ireland as soon as they can, with these retrogressive, sexist, draconian laws, coupled with the mass unemployment caused by the corrupt Government, amongst others.

They need to get on with putting their house in order and sorting the country out; and stop the ridiculous distraction politics which in this case will cause great harm to women and girls (while the men who make them pregnant get off scott-free).

Eggcup.  just as they leave Ireland as soon as they can, with these retrogressive, sexist, draconian laws,

So now you think you have a right to have a go at the Irish do you ?    You really do think you are an expert on everything !  It's about time you grew up and started living in the real world.

Tá tú bean an-dúr

Back to the Middle Ages?  they burnt witches then + heretics for not toeing the catholic line.

So what's new?  These days we kill babies in the womb because they're not wanted. Not the right sex, girl too young & cannot cope, boy not taking responsibility, etc. But I'll be accused of being bigoted, not modern, need to grow up, bla bla.

Teenage pregnancies in the UK are the highest in Europe;  so the "give 'em a condom" solution obviously hasn't worked.

It's time we took account of our "liberal" laws & see them for what they are. Not that I agree with everything the PP does.

Txakoli :

Back to the Middle Ages?  they burnt witches then + heretics for not toeing the catholic line.

That was of course Catholics not the Irish per se

But that was probably a lot less per year than 196,000 babies killed in the womb in England and Wales in 2011, the last year I can find stats for.

As you said Tx:-  These days we kill babies in the womb because they're not wanted. Not the right sex,................  etc

The largest amount of abortions were to Women aged between 25-34 and over, with many being married and having regular partners. So no excuse about not knowing anything about birth control their then.

For the younger generation under 16 it has been falling. So perhaps they are learning after all.

As we still have witches even now these days, anyone know if the law on burning them has been repelled? Wouldn't half cut down on the heating bills if we could still shove one in the ole Rayburn now and again.

It is a pity women do not have glass tummies. We would see a much reduced demand for abortions then.
