Hi there, my husband and I left the UK 28 years ago and after all this time in snowy Canada are ready for a few months winter break in Spain.  We are also planning to return to the UK  to live sometime in the next two/threee years so would be loking for winter lets in Spain this coming winter and summer rentals in the UK for summer to give us an idea of where we would like to live.Has anyone any good tips for winter in Spain where it is not too isolated, within walking distance of a beach and an has good public transport? We have both travelled extensively and I have lived and worked in Europe for 15 years so we are use to and love different cultures, food and languages.  We still have family in the UK and are thinking of moving eventually to Kent and over the next few years would be willing to house swap here in Toronto.  If you've any good tips or info we'd love to hear from you.

HI beavertail

Welcome to Eye on Spain.  Interesting story by the way!

We find the winters in Spain are great.  You don't tend to get too much rain and it doesn't really get all that cold, although as the houses/ apartments are all built for the summer they can feel quite chilly inside in the winter.

There are so many places you could move to so I couldn't even begin to suggest where you should look!

Best of luck with it all.

Justin

Hi EOS team for your reply.  I've had a really nice email from Mike and hopefully we'll all meet up in Spain sometime in the spring with hopes of doing some story as well as  house swapping!  Looking forward to some nice weather in the winter months in Spain - no more snow her ein Canada!
