Thank you very much for all the replies. We have tried going in to an insurance company and contacting other companies on the Internet and none said we were not allowed driving a foreigner car for more than 6 months, so THANK YOU FOR THIS INFORMATION. And we have also tried taking the car to dealers but is COMPLETELY NOT WORTH IT, we have even been told they could only pay for the car 500 pounds, when selling it in Spain could be easily 5000 euro, crazy!
The car is still registered in Spain because it was actually cheaper to leave it the way it is, rather than having to de register it to leave the country, as we thought we could keep the car in the UK till going back to Spain. But no longer thinking it :P
