has anyone had experience of 'exporting' DLA and carers allowance to Spain???

hi - newbie here - wondered if anyone had experience of being in receipt of and exporting dla and carers allowance when moving to spain?? we hope to move in the summer, basically to semi retire (will work from home part time - already sorted out) but as partner doesnt keep brilliant health - and we get the above benefits, we wondered if anyone had experience of exporting them. If so, are you contacted re attending appointments etc - how does it work - any advice very greatfully received. Babs
