Airport road closed

Hi, I read in the Sur in English this week that from 2nd November the St Julian junction road will be closed near Malaga Airport. I hve to take friends to airport two days later, so does that mean the main approach road is closed? If so, how do I get there?

Maybe follow the diversion signs, oops! sorry forgot we are in Spain !!!!

Ha ha exactly ... diversion signs will probably take us on a tour of the Alhambra Palace en route for the airport

Not sure there is a plane from Mijas Golf to Malaga, but thanks for your input, I will look it up
