Hi There

I need some help please.Early in this year when we had heavy rain my neighbour's apartment below mine had some rain damage.

As previous Rain Damage in 2010 was in fact caused by my enclosed patio being flooded by  the roof not being properly sealed,my Insurers paid for my Neighbour's Damage.

On this occasion it can not be ascertained for certain that the Rain Seeped down from my outside terrace. We did find however  find some loose roof tiles on a false roof at the end of the Patio which  were not affixed to the wall properly causing a large gap between the wall and the relative tiles.I immediately contacted our Urbanization Community Office who came around shortly aftewards and re-affixed these tiles with cement.  A test was also done by filling the patio with water and blocking up the outlet pipe with a foam sponge.Apparently this test was successful and no water leaked below.I am certainly not admiting liability in this case as we have  yet to ascertain how the water got in to my neighbour's apartment.

Please see wording of a Burofax I received from my neighbour's attorney today.

notify your insurance company and they will deal with it and send an assessor out.

It could be from your apartment, from common area or just mold/condensation
