Question for Maria de Castro - we are buying a resale (old house) which was first registered in Dec06 - therefore, until Dec08, we understand that a long lost relative, for example, can claim the house is actually theirs.  We understand too that the claim would be against the current vendor.

It's obviously a risk but our lawyer says that in 99.9% of cases, things are OK - obviously he has to advise us of the risk.

Can you kindly let me have your view; thanks in advance.
