My name is David

I have just moved to Spain and have inherited the Family Property.I am extremely unhappy about the level of Unpaid Community Fees in Spain.Do Urbanizations have sufficient resources and finance to recover these debts.I live in the Estepona area and hope I have made the right decision to retire to Spain in these difficult times.

Hi David

The majority of communities have debts!  There are always owners who never pay their fees and communities just need to manage the available funds accordingly.

I know some communities have even had to borrow money from the bank to keep going.

And in the current climate with such high levels of unemployment, the community fee is the first thing people stop paying.

Justin
