opening times easter 2011

Can anyone help. We will be staying in Guadarmar from 21.4 to 26.4 can anyone tell us where will be able to get some shopping on Thursday before Easter. Thanks Sandra

There's a  Carrefour nearby in Torre but you will need a car ;-)) 

Sorry but do Carrefour advertise as being open on Easter Thursday?  We do have a car.

 You will probably find that the majority of places are closed on Jueves Santos, Thursday, as it is a religious holiday. Unlike the UK though places are open as normal on the Monday after Easter Sunday.

One or two shops may be open up until lunchtime but you would be lucky to find them open after that.

Saturday shouls be no probs.

I have a local calendar which shows Monday as a holiday here, but that may be because Jumilla is celebrating its 600th Semana Santa this year.  My daughter and her husband will be staying with us that week, so hopefully they will treat us to a meal out!  We will do a lot of shopping on Wednesday and Saturday, to be on the safe side!

Sandra, I would think Iceland at La Marina alongside the N332 will be open.
