SKY GOLD AND DISCOVERY CHANNEL

Hello, some friends who have been paying  monthly for a basic package, which included  these channels, have lost Sky GOLD and DISCOVERY. They now receive a screen notification saying they now have to pay £1 per week to continue receiving them. Has anyone else had this problem and how was it resolved?

Something has happened with their subscription payment - perhaps the monthly payment was not made, or the credit card limit has been reach or the cc number has been changed. Eitherway, the message is saying that they are no longer able to watch pay channels. IF they whave been watching them previously, then it will be down to their payment not being made.

Either way they will have to contact Sky ( uk mobile, skype, or via someone in the uk on their behalf) or their card agent in Spain to get the payment reprocessed and to continue watchin thei channels.

 My mother-in-law in Sunderland has a basic Sky package to watch mainly Hallmark and her subs went up by a £1 from 1st Sept. In the e-mail from Sky to advise her of this she was told that it was because Sky has made it a better deal!!

That is maybe why they have lost their channels if it is not paid by direct debit they wouldn't know that it had changed.

The DD would automatically increase.

Also, in January, due to UK VAT increases, Skys prices will again be increased.
