How much would the toll roads cost from calais to alicante does anyone know

Hi, Pickles we did Calais to Orihuela Costa last July.  And it cost just over  100 euros each way                                                                                                                                                 

We got a small commercial van, are the tolls the same cost, if its a car or van

if you head down the N10, then accross at san serbastion, pampola to zaragosa, into valencia, you can get away with 60e or if you stay off the zaragosa pampola toll 30e

I do it every may and september,

Toll roads in Spain are generally expensive and some increase cost in peak season/weeks etc

I tend to avoid tolls where the alternative is feasible.

I have driven from Malaga to Barcelona and that was quite expensive.

I regularly travel from Malaga to Marbella and never use the toll road.

If not in any hurry I mostly set SAT NAV to avoid tolls - of course then you need to see what the mileage/time is of the suggested route to see if it's a case of penny wise pound foolish etc.

We drive down all the time now from Calais to Costa Blanca. We have chosen not to take the toll roads, but then time is no consequence. We take the western route through France and then down to pamplona and Valencia , the same as jontymellor, but we avoid all the toll roads. We do take a couple of toll roads by choice as that particular section is cost effective.

We have friends that drive down for the speed and  they take the toll roads, at around 130€.

Its your choice really, time against cost.

 Look up AA European tolls and they have a table of prices on each route but we  have found that there is a sharp increase in the Summer.

There is a difference, depends on the size of van, about 50% more, but I'm not sure, I'm on my way 30th April I will look out for future info
