Can anyone provide a little guidance ? We completed on our property 14/3 and are waiting for the snagging to be completed. We have asked Polaris who will let us know when the utilities have been connected, is there a connection fee for the utilities and, if so, what are the costs involved.

They have advised that they will keep us informed about the conneciton of utilities, that the utilities companies will charge us for connection fee (120 euros for gas,  120 euros for electricity and not known for water. 

Can anyone provide any more info' or confirm the costs.

Hi Paul,

we completed on Phase 5 in Dec, water was 156 I think, contacted the centre on HR on friday past and they inform me that water and gas are connected but no electricity as of yet. I think this is a long time to be aiting on electricity, not sure what the cost will be.

Hi all,

We completed December 14th (Phase 5b) and had both Electricity & Water by the end of Jan.

Gas arrived mid March and the boiler was commissioned last week according to PW.

I'm on site at the end of next week so I can check all the above out.

All mine are now connected and boiler commissioned. I think in total for all three utilities your looking around the 500 euro mark.

No electricity after 3 & 1/2 months.

Going over on friday to kit the place out & PW have said they would arrange a builders supply so we could stay in the apartment & set the lights up.

Not very happy this but at least PW are helping us out when the Electricity company is probably at fault.

Just had an update from our key holders last night who advised that water and electricity are connected but we are without gas at the moment. Thanks for your responses.

Seems a little strange but, although we had an update from our key holders advising that water and electricity are connected but we are without gas, Polaris have replied to an e-mail stating that none of our utilities have been connected yet !

Has anyone got contact e-mail addresses (preferably personal ones) at the Utility companies i.e. :

- Iberdrola( Electricity company)

- Gas Natural( Gas Company)

Aguas de Murcia( Water Company)

I would appreciate your help.

Thanks to all for your responses but can I ask :

a) how long have people generally had to wait after completion before utilities are connected and

b) has anyone got e-mail addresses for individuals or departments at AGUAS DE MURCIA and IBERDROLA.

just a quick mention.

Iberolda (electric) have got a good website and you can register for e-billing, so you can see what is happening on the account with them at all times.

When we have got our gas sorted,we are thinking of changing supplier to them also and then its all in the same account.May be better to keep tags on

Hi all,
            can I just canvas opinion ?  Despite the 60 day period from the day we completed being up on the 6th June, we still haven't got utilities connected yet . We are, therefore, not able to rent out our property or even advertise it. Are the majority of you in the same position ? If not, can you advise how you managed to chivvy the utility companies up as Polaris do not seem bothered.

I would really appreciate your thoughts,

Hi Paul,
We are at a 109 days now, managed to get a builders supply of water at end of april so that we could go to the loo and clean whilst getting furtiture delivered. PW seem to have a priority list for Gas connections depending on urgency. Let them know when you are going out to stay and live in the apartment. It gives them something to work towards. They have promised if the electricity is not on next week they will also arrange for builders supply so that we can live in it.

A bit hit and miss, but when PW cust svcs actually promise, we find have found they usually deliver. Its better than people camping on their doorstep. My wife doesnt do camping anyway...

Keep the pressure on.
