I have just been sorting out car hire for the many trips this year and noticed some info on the carhire website.

 

It states that Alicante Airport is closing runways for repairs from wednesdays midnight to Sundays From January to March 2012. And that delayed flights will be diverted to Valencia. A bus will bring folks back to Alicante Airport.

 

I have tried to find info on this on Alicante airport site, but cant see anything. Anyone know anything about this??  Just a bit confused, whether it applies to all flights during this period or that some flights may land, depending how much runway is being repaired.

Hi. I have been on the RA website tonight ( well this morning ! ) and tried to book flights for Easter / summer 2012. They were up a few weeks ago, now nothing. Any body know the reason ?? Thanks for your help.

I think the Ryanair flights for post october 30th  usually go on sale in April.  To get the best price I always book my next set of flights as soon as they appear on the system, because they nearly always go up , not down.

Anyone suggest a good cheap carhire company??  I need a small car for 7 weeks next summer and a seven seater for when I have friends over for 5 days.

 

I have been checking prices out and it is getting very pricey!!  Any help would be useful.

We have a banco halifax account. we also have a UK halifax account. Both have online banking.There are free transfers from the UK account to the Spanish account, with good exchange rates. We also have a nationwide account and sometimes withraw euros from that and put in the Spanish account.

 

If you go into a UK halifax they will have the necessary forms to open both accounts and you can then register for online banking with both. Had no problems so far.
