We used INSIDE RIGHT and although the quality  of the furniture is good, their service was terrible. they put in the wrong lights, curtains too long, kitchen items missing. Everytime i called them, the person i dealt with had left so we had to start all over again. Most people i have spoken to used DFS in San Javier and spoke very highly of them.

Ken, If you google the phrase "spanish wealth tax abolished" you will find hundreds of pages of info on the subject. My lawyer advised me of this back in summer. Dont forget you are still liable for assets held in spain up to and including 31st Dec 2007.Also you will carry on paying spanish income tax, which is calculated on the escritura value of your property.

You only get the allowances against the wealth tax if you have residencia in spain. The only thing they will take into account if you are a non resident is a spanish mortgage. The full amount outstanding is offset against your assetts as at 31st December 2007. As you are probably aware the wealth tax was abolished as from 1st jan 2008 so anyone completing on or after this date is not liable for the tax.

Maggie,  Try intasure. Mine is up for renewal next month. it includes One million building cover as standard now. Also covered for accidental damage by tenants. make sure it is covered for tenants if you are renting out. Renewal is around £250. Good value i feel.  Hope this helps.

Donde Ayer is on the main street as you drive out of sucina towards the urbanisation roundabout on the left side of road opposite the new and very expensive english supermarket. Also up on the urbanisation next to the furniture shop is a great eaterie that does a fantastic barbecue for 12 Euro. Just follow signs for the furniture shop.
