Hi Jodie,
we got our fridge from the industrial centre near Cartaghena where media Markit is, media markit does fridge freezers but accross the carpark there is another retailer who's name escapes me but they were very good and the peices were less than Media Markit and no delivery charge.

Hi Laura,
I hope you enjoy your stay on HR. It is a nice resort but was a little quiet when we were over min May. There is a shop and bar open on the resort now, they are only temp jobs but the shop is quite good. The bar was not open when we were over so I cannot comment on how good it is. The other resorts that we visited were Mar Menor and La Torre. Both are completed now and have good resturants and Bars and both were quite busy for May. The resturant on La Torre is very good but you should be aware that Polaris Resorts are a little more expensive than other resturants and bars that you might visit. Some of the pools are open now and you can use any of the open ones on the resort or indeed on any othe resort. The course is open now from what I can gather, not sure if you can hire clubs on HR but you can hire them on the other resorts which you can also play. It should not be a problem getting a game of golf in and there is an offer on at the min for a round after 5 in the eve I think for 30 euro if I am not mistaken. there are a few resturants in the nearest town Sucina but this is a small town, from what I hear the food is quite nice. You can take a train from Balsicas to Murcia, Balsicas is about 5 to 10 km away but Murcia is deff worth a visit, it is a large city with lots of shops etc, you could also drive there if you wish. I do not know anything about getting to La Manga or taxis as we had our own car and young kids with us. It is a lovely place to go for a relaxing break but you most likely wont get much nightlife around. We haven't had much time to explore the surrounding area as of yet but hope to do so next time we are over. If you go onto the thread Todays Activity and ask Lennie he will be able to fill you in on a lot more than me as he is living on HR and is very helpful indeed and his posts are very informative. Hope this has been of some help to you.
Kevin.

Hi folks.
Just been over for 10 days to furnish our place on HR. It was a very busy time for us trying to get everything done in the short space of time and two kids with us. We rented a place for the first 6 nights and moved into our own place for the last 3 nights. When I saw our place for the first time on the first morning I have to say that I was blown away. The view from the first floor balcony was just breath taking. We over- look the 8th & 9th holes on the course, look straight over to the old Hacienda, where the town centre etc is going to be, we are about 100 mtrs from the temp shop and golf area. Needless to say we are very happy with our property. OK there are a few issues that are a little dissapointing, no town centre for a year being the major one, no golf as of yet but the local societies did play last friday and some people seem to think that the course will be open by June 1st. I asked about the pools and was told by the girls in the call centre that they did not know when the pools would be open. I did see some guys putting in some chlorine into the pools yesterday. Our place is ideally situated for anyone going over to furnish etc and is available at a resonable rate.  We have a two bed one bath apartment with all the mod cons as they say including DVD player, most British, German etc TV channels through the Polaris World package. There is a travel cot in the room with the 2 single beds in it for anyone with small kids like ourselves. The other room has a double bed and one person could sleep on the sofa if desired. We also have ac in the bedrooms.  Anyone wishing to rent our place please feel free to drop me a line and we can discuss matters. The apartment is on phase 5. I believe that the temp bar has opened now also wich is just 2 mins from our Block.
I found the girls in the call centre very helpful. Thanks to some new friends we met while out there we found two guys who will change locks, put up lights etc for at a very good rate. Very nice guys too.

A fellow HR owner.

Hi Lennie,
like everyone else I really enjoy your posts. They are very informative. Our place is on Phase 5 Block 88. We were over while you were away furnishing etc, sorry about your loss, and really we were quite suprised as to how well the place looks. Good to hear that some of the pools are starting to open. great that the bar has opened also. We would love to be there for the BBQ on sat night but alas not to be. Enjoy your time on HR and hope to meet up with you when we go over in September.
