I have just been looking at the photographic evidence of defects left by Keymare that need notification ,provided by our Vice President and Peter, they are very effective and stay in the mind longer than the written word .Forty plus and it is quite a survey.

I know that Luis now has these, and may I suggest that others take pictures during their visits and send them to Lorraine and Peter via the owners club. We need these to be corrected by Keymare ,but it will be a useful tool for the community for future problems .

Suggestion perhaps this could be conducted on a monthly basis and photos published via the owners site.

Urgent and dangerous defects need immediate action and cannot wait for a monthly check and require direct action.

Twowasps gave an account in a previous thread of minor damage done by users of the urbanisation,I am asking advice on how we should respond to this type of ant-social behaviour, guidelines on how we should approach individuals, both legal and diplomatic and to whom it should be reported.

Hi

Have been following the threads about damage, snags, vandalism. Reference is made to photographs being sent to Seasun, and to "owners club", I thought that we would all belong to the "owner club" because we had brought a property. I was not aware that I would have to join another "club" just to find out what is happening. Please can everyone get to see the pictures, our do those not in the "club" have to form another "club"  for themselves?

Steve

,,The owners club is a private place  for owners on Al Andalus Thalassa ,it is free to join, and allows owners to communicate in a confidential enviroment

The open forum is great and full of information, but we are a community and we have elected representatives and as such we have community business to discuss.

I am just a member ,engine behind it is Peter Braid.,all owners are welcome ,no restrictions.Just go onto the site of  Peter and Lorraine and register.

The photographs concern the community and as such our Vice President has decided that she does not wish to dry our laundry from her balcony, but in a private place.

I strongly support the club for many reasons, not the least that 'in unity there is strength'. For example, special member discounts may be negotiated with all sorts of local retail outlets, trades people and so on. It may also be possible to use it's good offices to help in other local matters. Some members may have knowledge or a skill that could be of use to others. Elsewhere, I am involved in a 'club' where we have negotiated special rates for the provision of TV channels, telephones etc.. There are so many benefits.

The club forum which in no way replaces the excellent EOS forum, may be used for discussions, suggestions or ideas which have no relevance to those outside of the community.

It staggers me that some people are so suspicious when others are giving up their time for the good of all. For the development to remain aesthetically pleasing and a desirable place to reside, every owner needs to express their views in a constructive manner and what can be better than on your own private forum?

Please, please, do not just sit back and let others do the work - participate!

Finally. I have no connection with Peter or Lorraine, other than to find them very approachable and extremely helpful, so no other vested interest.

Peter   The higher resolution pictures and the ability to enlarge is good.

The majority of your observations could be corrected at a relative small cost.

I would like to talk about the part that owners could play in your survey and you mention it ,signs to rent ,let and buy are a blight on the urbanisation ,and I would first of all ask owners to remove them and if not it should go forward as a resolution for the community to decide.

I fully agree with ken's comments regarding the To Let and For Sale signs, they are a real eye sore.

I also agree with the comments regarding the 'To Let' and 'For Sale' signs.  They are an eyesore.  I thought they weren't allowed under the community rules.

I agree that these signs are an eye sore & in my opinion, they serve little purpose, particularly the ones on the inside of the development. There is, after all, no through traffic & therefore the only people seeing these signs are existing owners & potentially a few renters.

It was expected that at the community meeting on 8th March, we would vote to accept the community rules. This didn't happen & as I understand the situation, without the community vote, the "rules" issued by Key Mare at completion are not legally enforceable.

The issue of Satellite Dishes, Awnings, For Sale/Rent signs is being taken forward by the committee of the President & VPs, in order that proposals can be put forward at the next community meeting & a vote taken. This will then allow for action to be taken to remove the signs.

I fully agree that the signs are an eysore and as Noreen says serve little purpose.

It is clear from Noreen's debrief on the first meeting that the only real outcome was to appoint a President and Vice Presidents, whilst that was very important it is clear that the Community cannot be properly managed until we have an agreed set of rules. If another meeting is required to agree the community rules then we should be pressing Luis to organise one asap.

The feeling appears to be that the signs need to go ASAP,every post is against and it is evident that the majority wish them removed ,they benefit no one and degrade our community. It would only require a phone call from the owners involved to start the ball rolling.

There is going to be acommunication sent out offering a choice of 3 dates to owners for the next community meeting.

From memory 2 of these dates are 3rd May & 31st May - sorry can't remember the other on but it is between these 2 dates.

Monica, our Presindentam, has posted this information on the Al Andalus Owners Forum.

Regarding the "For Sale/Let" signs, we are hopefully aiming for a community meeting sometime in May, providing that there are no general elections, catastrophes, "R's" in the month etc., and also subject to ample notice being given to owners!

Before this meeting there will be an opportunity for myself, Monica, Juan, Louis and a KeyMare representative to discuss issues which need immediate redress, although, as the community has not discussed/debated any topics I really do not think that any decisions can be made, or actions implemented until such time.

After the second community meeting we should have a clearer picture of the wants and needs of this community and hopefully we will be able to implement measures which will be of a beneficial nature to all.

In the meantime, there is a need for a committee to be formed from owners who are keen to assist in the running of the community, and as such, any interested parties should forward their names and contact details to me before the 12th April in order that the information be made available to both the Presidente and Vice-Presidente.

Regards,

Lorraine Braid.
