Hi there ,

Its great news about the HL although we have as yet had no official notification of that or the meeting on the 5th !

I am concerned that I am unable to attend although John may go if he can.It seems important that we have a voice and a collective one if possible if there are issues we feel strongly about.Below are my issues and I would be interested if others agree, disagree or have more to add.If John isnt able to go I am wondering about writing to the administrator with the points I want raising. From my understanding of other such meetings with Ballester they are in Spanish and very much Ballester led.

Security - a bit of a farce really.I was told that the large gates are to be kept locked and that we will not have access because the Community of Altea Hills has said access is a security hazard.I think that may well be so but the gates are wide open during the day for the trucks to get through to other building sites ! I see no reason why we cant have keys to access the gates (and a security camera ) otherwise its a much longer route up to "Jardines" and makes a quick walk to the Melia impossible. They cant play it both ways which is what they are doing at present. As for the 2 small gates ,well they are a joke too as one is now repaired but the other is still open.Even when closed anyone can jump over them to press the red button and hey presto they open !

Damp - In G block the area around the store rooms got very wet after the October storms. The damp marks are still clearly visible and our store room even smells of damp too. Also on the outside of the building there is brown staining which looks like damp (this pre dates the storms)Its along the bottom of the side wall you see when you drive up the long way and looks unsightly.

Internal communal areas- I can only speak for G block but these are still a mess. The area in the car park, stairwell and landings are dirty and some of the paint work needs re doing.

Swimming pool - this has been cleaned up now and is looking good except for the new gully they have put in.Of course something had to be done to prevent another disaster like the Octobe floods but they have just left the concrete gully very visible and it looks horrible.I think it needs to be disguised with shrubs or some more of the boulders they have used.Maybe they intend to do something but I have my doubts.

Lifts - as yet not working in G block I dont know about others.

I would be very glad to hear what others think,

all the best

Gilly

Hi Gilly & John,

As we are unable to attend the meeting on the 5th, we too would like to feel that our issues are addressed . We agree with you about the large gates, as they seem to be open for the convenience of all and sundry with exception of the residents of Jardines who were told they would have access. We may have mentioned before that when we completed we were given a remote which we were told would operate them however this of course was not the case.

There do not seem to be any problems with damp at our end (A block) and the lifts have been working since September. However as you say the communal areas are very dirty , athough we hope this may be resolved when the community is set up as the charge should cover cleaning. We would like to think that this meant regular cleaning of the glass on the outside of the building as it could quickly look a mess with all the dust about.

We have also noticed that the television aerial is inadequate and therefore the reception is very poor.

It would be interesting to find out other peoples views especially as more complete now the H L has been granted.

Kind regards,

Nigel and Marian

Hi,

Have only just found this forum and was very interested in the postings on it. We certainly weren't aware that people were living in the development!. We will be signing off on the 15th so will not be able to make the meeting on the 5th. We do have concerns over the gates - our understanding was that this would be the main access and we would have a remote control for it. Would at least want access through small gates to be able to walk down to the Melia. We should be in the area for a few days and would hope to get a chance to say hello to anyone there.

Carol & Ali
