We have just returned from a long weekend at Altea and thought you might be interested in what is happening with the swimming pool.
As you might know, the floods in October were the worst in 15 years and caused considerable damage throughout the area. There was a landslide above the swimming pool area that caused considerable damage to the pool area. Work is now being undertaken to repair the damage and prevent a similiar occurence in the future. There was plenty of activity whilst we were there but would estimate it will be months rather than weeks before repair work is completed.
We spoke to our solicitor about collecting the spare keys from them. They suggested that these are retained as apparently the habitation certificate hasn't been issued. As a result we are still on builders electricity and water and access will be needed to the apartments to connect the supply when the certificate is finally issued.
As far as we could tell only one other apartment was in use last weekend. We also noticed that one of the top floor 2 bed apartments is up for resale through Ocean estates.
