The following has it been completed? SPA and fitness centre: Heated pool, sauna, Turkish baths, Jacuzzis, waterjet circuit, gymnasium with machines etc

Will access be part of your community charge or will their be an additional charge ,will the community own it ,will it be supervised and who will maintain the machines?

Hi Kenshaz,

We live in block 7 and we got our flat two weeks ago. In Key Mare they said that the SPA etc was going to be finished by October. As far as I know access to these facilities are included in the community fee.

I am at the apartment at the moment so if anybody wants to ask anything, please feel free to do so.

We have just been over for 10 days and whilst you are supposed to go in the indoor complex most people seem to be having a quick look.

The building work is coming along although still a bit to do, pool is in, changing rooms, sauna and steram room look okay and the water jets are fitted.

Building work to the complex was going on all the time but the priority is to fnish the properties as some are still quite a way from being finished.

Does anyone know the layout of the indoor spa area? - as we have just got back and feel that fitting in all they have promised including a bar will be very tight.

We can not actually figure out where the bar will be as at the moment it looks like it will be directly in the pool area if anywhere.

I was a little suprised at the size of the indoor pool on our visit.    It is very small and I cannot see it meeting  the demand, especially as it is proposed to close the outdoor pool at the end of September.  I hope this is all subject to votes at the intended first community meeting, which I'm told is marked down as 16 September .. is this correct as I haven't heard anything official from Seasun or KM?

I am also wondering how the visitors to the pools, tennis courts, spa, etc,  will be monitored so that non-owners can be restricted from using the facilities and it doesn't become a free for all.  There seem to be an awful lot of cars there at weekends which disappear completely by Monday.

Apologies if I sound like a killjoy ... its just that we are paying for these facilities and it wouldn't be fair if anyone could use them at our expense.

I agree SuziQ we noticed a lot of cars turning up with people already changed for the pool and then dssapearing, also suprised at the size of the pool, the wife managed to have a quick look around and said it is small in the changing areas and spa.

With regards the meeting, we have not hygeard anything and not sure if we need a life guard as he isn't there a lot of the time anyway.

Could be friends or extended family of residents.  However, if this situation happens regularly, it is going to be very crowded at weekends/holidays and, again, doesn't seem fair if residents pay and visitors get to use the facilities for free.  Overcrowding will spoil it for all of us at these times and perhaps put rental guests off rebooking too.  Yes, it's nice to invite friends and family to visit and use the facilities, but there are some I'm sure who will abuse this at the expense of others so it really needs to be policed somehow.

Then again, although there is a guard in the gatehouse by the main entrance, he seems to be waving people in happily and, if they say they are visiting XXX in apartment XXX, I can't see him stopping them.   And what's to stop existing residents meeting their visitors at the gate with their key fob and helping them in?  Probably already happening.

If the meeting does happen in mid-September (still no confirmation from anyone yet and the window is narrowing rapidly) then this is a definite item for the agenda.   Perhaps the issue of wristbands or membership cards for each apartment (although again this is open to abuse as some will say they have "lost" their band/card to obtain more).

Any thoughts/suggestions from anyone else?  Does anyone know a resident of AA Hills or Residencial and how do they cope with this?

I would wait and see what occurs once the complex is finished completely.  we should be able to gage if people who are not residents are using the facilities, and if so we will have to get together and sort something out.

it may be because its a bit of a building site that people are able to come and go easily.  Also, its august so there are a lot more people in the area.

I feel that what is happening on this forum in respect to a community spirit is important ,we are all in this together and we need to protect our homes and investments ,and out-siders using the pool is just one example.Communication is the key,I have learnt more on this forum in the past week or two than I realised about the development in the previous two years.

Hi every one

I agree with what every one is saying about people using the facilities.

I suppose the good thing here is that people are aware that facilities are good in the complex and hopefully word will spread.

In the long term when the complex is fully completed access might get a little tighter.

Hopefully some of these people will return on a rental basis.

Good to see all the opinions been shared and discussed.

Hope everyone enjoys their new apartments

John

We are out in Spain at the moment and visited the site. The "security guard" didn´t bat an eyelid when we went onto the development TWICE!!!. We weren´t even asked what apartment we were going to.
