We were going to buy the accessories pack but have changed our minds. We are going to use the Carrefour for crockery, glasses etc. They are really cheap whilst being good enough if you are letting the property. We have bought towels, sheets etc here when they are on special offer.

So far we have bought nearly all the linen that we need and all the towels, mugs & cutlery that we need and have spent £158. Considering the MRI pack is £1300+ I don't think we will spend anywhere near that.

If you need a copy of the list for a 2 Bed/ 2 Bath let me know.

Noreen

The MRI package is a complete waste of money - it is much more fun to go out and buy your own goods at less than half the price.  Lopez in Mojacar are fantastic for hardware goods and there are many more shops in the area where you can buy your sheets and towels etc.  We in fact  bought our towels and sheets over here in the sales and took them over with us.

Regards

Sue

Hi Sue

We did exactly the same - got some great bargains on towels & sheets in Adsa at "Home"

Whereabouts in Mojacar is the Lopez shop? We are going over next Friday & want to have a look around at various places in preparation for completion.

I also agree that the MRI extras pack is very overpriced

Thanks

Noreen

Hi Noreen

Lopez is along the Mojacar high street on the right hand side if you are travelling in from Vera.  It is difficult to explain exactly where it is as the sea front is so long - but from memory it is before the roundabout that you turn right on to go up to Mojacar Pueblo.

Good luck and hope your visit works out well.

"""FERRETERIA LOPEZ """    IS A DIY SHOP ON THE MAIN COAST ROAD BETWEEN GARRUCHA AND MOJACAR PLAYA.....IT IS WITHOUT DOUBT THE PLACE TO GET EVERYTHING FROM AND AT THE BEST PRICES ACROSS THE BOARD,,,

TO GET THERE IS EASY .......DRIVE ALONG THE COAST ROAD FROM GARRUCHA TO MOJCAR WITH THE SEA  ON YOUR LEFT,,PASSED THE "PARQUE COMERCIAL "IN MOJACAR, WHICH IS AT THE ROUNDABOUT WHERE YOU WOULD TURN RIGHT TO GET TO MOJACAR PUEBLO  (VILLAGE) .... DO NOT TURN OFF THE COAST ROAD AND FERRETERIA LOPEZ IS ON YOUR RIGHT,,,ABOUT 1/2 MILE OR SO ON THE RIGHT,BUT TAKE MY ADVICE ,PARK ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ON THE BEACH, ITS EASIER,

ANYTHING ELSE???????

Thanks for putting me right.  Couldn't remember if it was before the turning to Mojacar Pueblo or not.

Kind Regards

Re - ANYTHING ELSE??????? - from your post below,

Do you know who would be able to supply 'Bunk beds', looking at this as an option in our apartment.

Thanks, in advance !!!

Hola

There are now lots of furniture stores on the "poligino industrial "in Antas which in english means an out of town shopping area.

Its right by the motorway exit for Antas and Vera easy to find .....a tip!! the Spanish shops are usually cheaper will deliver as a matter of course and install everything for example if the bed requires fitting togeather they do it all which here is normal.

hope this helps

Hi Sue

re soft furnishings

The bedding you bought in the Uk - did this fit the spanish beds?   From the itinerary, Duvet covers and pillows are included - are these similar to UK sizes?

I think you will find that "duvet covers" are what we would call bed spreads. They are a very thin quilted (ish) material meant for on top of sheets etc.

(See hterag's post in "Any one who has completed?" for more details on what is and what isn't included)

Hi Noreen

Yes the double and single sheets fitted fine.  We bought english size pillows out there and took our pillow cases from England. The pillos you get there are like bolster cushions and very long.

Hope this helps

Sue
