No not really,, mosquitos are part and parcel of living in a sub-tropical country......the longer your stay the least you get bitten "fresh meat" !!! eat the medditeranian diet i.e. plenty of oil and garlic, etc and they will leave you alone,,,,,,,using the air con would tend to suggest the doors and windows would be closed therefore no mozzies,,,,, a flow of air i.e a stand up fan at the bottom of your bed works wonders....as long as there is a flow of air they dont like it....you will see the Land Rover with what looks like a big hair dryer on the back spraying las .Salinas (the salt lakes) with mozzie killer on a weekly routine to help control them. Most bites are around the feet and ankles so wash them thoroughly and a good spray from Consum or Mercadona to apply before you go out at night also helps.
