Profit from delay

Has anyone worked out how much bank interest Masa gets for every extra month they extend the handover date? Must be worth between 80/100,000 euro per month.So, why would they rush things?

Surely it would cost them being out money.

Would he not be wanting to get the rest of our money as soon as he could?

At least i heard the radio and the euro rate seems to be on the way up again so thats good for us.

Im glad i aint sent that much but still if i was getting the interest on it it would be better.

I didnt realise you'd paid so much, surely he should give you some interest hes gettin.(chance would be a fine thing)

I agree, they have 135,000 euro's of mine too, I wish I'd kept them waiting instead of them keeping me waiting. I would have got a lot of interest, even in my spanish account.

Hi, I was just looking through the messages to find a thread on cancellations etc I am sure I read one when I first joined the site.  Compared with a lot of members I don't suppose we are doing too bad.  We paid our deposit Oct 06 and expected completion by Mar 07 they then gave us a date of June 07.  We have paid 40% of the cost, and after listening to some of the messages we feel that 07 is going to turn into 08 etc if they are having legal problems with road, water, electric etc.

We considered asking for our depostit back as the contractor has now broken the contract and buying something which is ready to move into. 

Hearing what some people have already paid to Masa, Atlas etc is quite worrying.  Does anyone know of anyone who has backed out and if so did they get their full deposit back because the contractors had broken their agreement. 

Also does anyone know what is happening to phase II.  Has that been put on hold, Sierra Golf does not seem to be advertised on any sales sight now, so is it on hold or is phase II as well as Phase I sold out.  I wonder what their completion date will be.  When we put our deposit on they said the whole site would be finished by 2017.  Don't think we can wait that long.
