Anyone have a number/contact for cheap car hire? Prices seem to be very high this year!

Spanish have put the prices up on everything, such is their way.

Flamenca Cars have good reputation, others vary over rip off charges etc.

Carflexi.com just found rather cheap!

Do you Spain is not a car hire company.. They are a car brokers that advertise car hire companies products ...they represent around 20 car hire companies. 

My next rental at the end of march for 8 days comes to £84.00  I consider this reasonable...I have my own private rental insurance policy that you can buy of the Internet for around £50.00 this will cover you for as many rentals you as want  on a one year policy .

Similarly I have just booked 2 hire cars, one for Feb half term (7 days) the other 10 days at Easter, booked Firefly through Do You Spain, total for both was £193 which again I think reasonable. I have own excess insurance.

ive just got full full, extra driver with firefly 16euros for 5 days.

limited mileage to 450km which suits me

try centauro car hire direct, they are just off the airport nowadays but very good shuttle service.

i also have my own insurance £35 for year.

Cost varies due to exchange rates too as its charged in Euros, so one to be aware of when booking/cancelling/rebooking.

i use my Santander Zero credit card to avoid any additional bank charges for foreign transactions.
