Whoaaa. Everybody. Take a step back. Not long ago we had the Hi-5 amateur tournaments. We lost them and lots of business that came with it, because we had "no changing facilities." We have lost lots more business (I know of several groups) because of the lack of changing facilities. My personal opinion is this is the first step within a process to bring back business to the golf course. PGA requirements are for changing facilities. Does not say it has to be a £3,000,000 clubhouse. Be patient!!! Yes I know I have said it before, so before you go off again like a bottle of lemonade. LOOK UP THE WORD PATIENT. We all agree ML and NGT are striving to make IMPROVEMENTS for the golf and resort, for theirs and our benefits. Give them a chance.

When most people voted against a 2 Euro per month increase in service charge, which would have given them broadband and a telephone, I would be amazed if you will get everyone to give a thousand pounds each!
Good luck though!

well I am sure we could get something decent for 1.5m - surely 500 quid won't break the bank but your right you would always get the usual few that wouldn't support getting something off the ground. settle for what you have got then which is knack all on condado in terms of facilities as long as you are happy but personally I am not

Not a sausage. Out here right now and the only sign of anything is some flags in the ground near to where the proper golf club should be going. The place is very quiet pre Christmas. Had a look at the white porta cabins on the outer ring road and they clearly haven´t been touched at all - thankfully.

Surely, the permanent Show offices (next to the tin one with the Al Kazar design) could be coverted into a temporary clubhouse. That would bring the site up to standard to bring in much needed revenue. I know Jack Nicklaus is loathe to do this due to his well thought out design, but, surely as a temporary measure, it is the best short term solution, altering the numbering of the holes as appropriate.
Plenty of parking too.
We have one of the best golf courses in the region with no facilities ..... more revenue = funds for new club house.
Looking forward to playing again over christmas.

I am no golfer so probably not qualified to comment but yes that building is perfect for a temporary clubhouse without all the fuss of moving a wooden shed into the space between the penthouses. Whilst big Jack may have had different design ideas, that was well before the economic meltdown and the world is a different place now. Maybe common sense will prevail.
I am sure more qualified golfers who use the course will think otherwise. JF

Think the cost of the lease to high and add the cost of a few adaptations to rear in order to access the golf course and its all probably too much to consider. But they could have just extended a buggy path and it wouldnt be more than 5 mins and you're at hole 1.
Maybe PW still own it anyway?
But I agree that its a terrific building with bags of potential.
