Empty apartment

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask some advice please. We have an apartment in Phase 3 of Luz de Almoradi which has been empty for nearly a whole year. We are paying a mortgage on our apartment and really struggling to pay the whole amount each month.

I was wondering if anybody knew a good letting agent for long term rentals. We would rather do this than holiday let.

Any advice or recommendations would be very welcome.

                         There is a letting agent just over the square called Morales ( I think) Some friends of mine , that live in Spain, rent their house via his agency. He has English speaking staff, I think if you are going to Spain in the near future you should pop in and have a word.  Please bear in mind though, that there are lots of properties up for rent, I have got one myself in Phase 1 of the  "Luz". I have been trying to let or sell it for 2 years, and apart from one clown who disappeared before he paid his first months rent, I have had no luck. Be careful who you entrust with your keys, as some unscrupulous agents will put anybody in your apartment (the stories I have heard ! )

Hi, thought it might interest people to know I have just sold my 2bed apartment in Luz phase 1 after about 3 years of trying a few different methods. I eventually decided I would just reduce price every few months until I got some interest and people started to want to view it. Bad news of course is that I only got €59,500 - but the relief I feel today having the transaction completed on Friday is great! And as you are fully aware, even I was dying to go back there, there will be plenty to rent. It seems unlikely prices will go back up for years yet so I thought it was pointless going on paying out. It's hard to accept you have lost a lot of money but I just now feel so free of it all.
