Hello, I have never used this site before as I prefer to do my own research and am very cautious with companies I use, however I feel compelled to offer this information as I have seen many posts on this site to the contradictary and can only think that these companies write their own posts!

I have been looking for a Air Conditioning to be installed in my Apartment on Condado De Alhama for some time now and I had an agreement and an excellent price with Polar Air, which I did find to start with quite prompt with responses and quite professional, however thank goodness I took my time as he is now disappeared.

I have now been in touch with a company called Climazone which also seem very professional and have a very good website, however....I have recently been to a property where Climazone have installed in and the outside installation is a monstrosity!

I have taken a photo and uploaded it to the construction photo's section, so please view it and see if you are of the same opinion. It is definitely Climazone as they dared to put their stickers all over the external units? it also says "another quality installation by Climazone" I DONT THINK SO!!!

I really do not now where to turn now as I am going to find it very hard to trust any company, Air conditioning or otherwise.....

I can recommend CLIMASOL. Very professional and with very competitive prices. They installed also in our penthouse the dishwasher, the washing machine and also the canopies (excuse but I think this is the word in English...). Ph: 968632569. You can contact Sonia.

Climasol offers a personalized service with a very fast response (the dishwasher did not wotk at the beginning and they came a Saturday to check it...).

Climazone has an excellent reputaion for Installing Internal and External Units to

the higest Standard. Be assured that Should this Installation indeed be one of Theres

the External Units will be re installed and the Engineer responsible admonished.

We used Climazone too - great advice, great service & very helpful. Air conditioning units aren't exactly nice to look at wherever/whoever you purchase them from!

What was GRANTBIKER doing on Private property taking Photos and

how is he certain that the Install was done by Climazone?

Did he ask the Owners of the Property, for permission

to be on there Solarium and did he ask if their Units were Installed

by Climazone.

Has he got an Ulterior motive to try and rubbish the Good name of Climazone?

The Stickers could have been removed from one of their excellent Installations

and placed on a shoddy one and the photo and Comments placed on the Forum

to Cause damage to Climazone.

If its Photos of Shoddy Installations he wants why not Go up onto the Roof

of the Penthouse Blocks and see how many Shoddy Installaions there are.

Non of which I believe are Climazones.

Naming and Shaming is fine if all the facts are at hand. Come on GRANTBIKER

where is the property and let the Owner place a comment if indeed this is

a Climazone Installation.

Thank you for all your recommendations, however I think I will leave it for now until I can arrange to meet the companies in person next time I am over as I really am quite nervous of using anyone.

I will not be using Climazone though, as I feel that if it has happened once, it can happen again! I am sure they have a good reputation with some clients, and not all of their jobs are like this one, however after seeing this installation, one is enough for me!

I only want my system to be installed once.

Thanks.

Not entirely sure what I was meant to discover by looking at a photo of three aircon units- not even sure if they any different from anyone elses? Have never thought they are a particularly stylish pice of equipment so this pic wouldnt have helped me either way.. In fact  stacking two units one above the other has reduced the space used and kept the units compacted together. I would think its only their efficiency that should be a concern and as we have no personal info on that I'm wondering what the real purpose behind the original post on this thread was.

We plan to use Polaris as family have recommended them but I dare say other people (as on this thread) will recommend elsewhere. We will be having samsung units- which, in the end you can get from many suppliers.

Have seen worse installations than this ! Only thing wrong is lack of planning, the location and postioning of the condensing units is OK given the site constraints but the pipework installation is abysmal. Even though it is an ugly installation it does not mean that the units will not function correctly, I have seen instalations that look great but the installer had not wired or charged them correctly. In the UK we have F-Gas  registration I thought it was EU wide if it is ask to see their registation before using them. With over 30 years in the AC industry the saying you only get what you pay for really does apply.

In reply to endleg, I am extremely sorry if I have offended you or anyone else, however I find your comments very aggressive!

Thank you for your private message!!

I was certainly not trespassing on private property as you seem to have accused me of?!

I was renting an apartment next door while mine was completing and as I am currently looking to get my AC installed I was quite disturbed by the unsightly pipework. I was not on the owners solarium when I took the photograph.

The only reason I presumed it was a Climazone installation is that it has stickers all over them? I cant imagine why anyone would want to take stickers off of, in your words "excellent installation" and put them on this one?!  I do hope that you are not insinuating this is something I have done? as I have no idea who Climazone are and have no interest in going out of my way to harm them...I have better things to do!!

Apologies again if I have upset anyone, I was just passing on information as I found it, which I thought was the whole point of this website? As I said before Im sure that not all their installations are like this one!

Thank you endleg, but I dont think I will be passing on the location on an open forum.

Thanks

in reply to GRANTBIKER

As you stated you are some one who says they like to Check out Companies First, did

you contact Climazone and give them the address anad asked if they installed the Units? I think not.

Instead you placed your Comments on the Forum and left them in a position of having to defend there reputation,

via there clients.

It is quite evident from what goes on at Condado that it would be no Suprise if another Installer would not try and Stich Up another.

As most buyers on Condado will tell you the AC companies are striving to get as much Business as possible by what ever means possible,

you only have to look at  POLAR AIR to see the lengths some of them go to.

Part of it is the Fault of the buyers who do not request Proof that what the Installers cliam, such as being fully Quailfied, when indeed they

are not, offering Cheaper AC than anybody elese but then as with POLAR AIR installing Units Incorrectly and undersizing on the Exterior Units.

I Believe this is why POLARIS are insisting with all complaints against them, all parties must be present.

In response to endleg, this is getting a little tedious now.

I take it from your last response that you are affiliated with Climazone and in that case I understand your grievance.

However I did not contact Climazone to ask them if they had installed some units which clearly had stickers on them to say they had!! I would look a complete pillock if I had of phoned, as in my eyes this is obvious!!

I do not know anything of your petty disputes with other companies and what they would be prepared to do, however I find it doubtful they would switch stickers on an installation on the off chance it was found by someone else? i.e me?

I believe these forums are to be a portal of information for everyone in Spain who is looking for advice, whether the information is good, bad or in this case ugly!

Thanks
