While it is disappointing, I'm not surprised. While there in July on most nights people were using the course to exercise their dogs. Quite a few are also bringing their dogs over to the lakes for a swim in the evenings. One one occasion after a dog got stuck and the owner went in after it, the owner also got stuck and had to be rescued. I'm not fully sure if the people in question fully understood at the time how serious it could have been. Also between the visitors dogs barking and the cats roaming on the complex particularly during the summer months one has to wonder if there is any control at all.  I understand people like pets but does it really make sense to bring them out of their home environment into a heatwave! We have a great resource here and its really a shame to see this happening.

Yes, we do have a problem really onsite trying to entertain the teenagers and the resort through no fault of the residents is far cry from what was promised. One of the big issues for me now is the story around the soccer pitches and the golf course. The pitches, which would have been useful for the teenagers, have no largely been abandoned with no future in sight. The golf course is largely run now for the minority with no Golf Pro onsite so that we cannot even get an academy up and running to entertain the teenagers during the summer months. I have given up now on the soccer pitches, someday in the future they will be used to house another row of penthouses or villas as they are close to the town centre. There is also little interest that I can see by the community in getting this resource restored. This later one is disappointing considering the resource on our doorstep and what is on offer on MMGR and La Torre. I have been in contact with IRM ( for 2 years now) on the MMGR to see if they would consider sending a golf professional down so that we can at least offer something alternative to entertain the teenagers during the summer months. It would even consider some lessons myself with others if something solid was on offer. We have used an offsite professional the last few years but this year he is not available. It would be great if our community could assist to at least gage if there is interest.  In the meantime as you said there is only so many trips you can bring the kids on. I’m afraid we will stay in a holding pattern now with a downward pressure on property prices until the Airport opens and there is some lift in development. Hopefully some of us will be alive to see the result as I fear it is some years away.

Sounds like plan but surely ML through our presidents can raise this issue earlier than August with the local authorities. If we are having problems now onsite, I suspect it will be worst during the peak seasons.

I'm pretty sure for the majority on the complex we would expect ML to engage with the Police sooner rather than later to at least get the message out that it’s unacceptable to have this type of behavior on our complex.

After all this is why we elect presidents and appoint an administrator. Nobody is expecting ML to physically stand out at night to check what is happening but we do expect them to liaise with the authorities whose job it is to enforce the law.
