Communal TV

Hi Everyone

Have been reading this discussion with interest and are wondering can you get either the 30 or 8 channels just by re - tuning your TV and are the channels a mixture of differant languages ie Spanish and English or are they all in Spanish. At the moment we pay the 20 euros a month but would dearly love to stop that as we aren't out enough to justify the expense.

Some of you have mentioned freeview boxes. Were they brought over from the UK or bought in Spain. Would love to hear any info. you have.

Thanks for that Kevin & Corinne. We'll have to wait and see what the situation is when we come over in August. Just out of interest though do you know if you can you buy freeview boxes in Spain that can hopefully receive a few English channels?

I have a freeview system built into my spanish dvd player - some people have freeview built into their tv

I get a number of channels with english programmes - disney, sony and a number of the digital spanish channels show english fims and programmes - no bbc news though - at least not yet

Hi All

Just a quick update, just got back from the development and somthing has happened since last over in May, we can get 32 channels!!

I was told by our neighbour that Peter and someone else had been round the houses checking somthing or other and whatever they did seems to have worked, so many thanks to them.

Granted some channels cant be viewed during the day for some resaon, but I have english channels such as Disney and Sony plus the sports channel teleporta, which you can see Premiership games live!!

Would be interested to here from anyone else who has been over just now to see if they can get the xtra channels, bare in mind I had to retune my TV in when I went over, the xtra channels just didnt appear, so be warned!

I spoke to Pete when we were over in June. Almost immediately he had organised for an engineer to attend to the issue. The engineer identified a fault in the 'cupboard at the end of the block'. Within 30 minutes we had 30+ channels.

Glad to see the problem has been resolved at long last, after all this is what we tried to explain to Pete and anyone else who cared to listen to us since last year,  as we have had the 30+ channels all along.

yep, 32 channels!!!  I was starting to get a bit paranoid about it, but all sorted now, can watch the lads in the Premiership now, turning over the big boys, lol

Had a fab time whilst over, HOT!!! just booked up again for Sept
