Hi All

We left the meeting feeling very positive. This is a short report covering the main issues(full minutes will become available to owners):

1.THE PENOCILLO ROAD- Prenisur had already paid their contribution to the building of this road. They have now agreed with the Town Hall to pay for the rest of the completion. In exchange the Town Hall will  release the remaining habitation liciences immediately the road is finished. The agreed date is 30th June.Prenisur have a new contractor who will begin work on Monday 11th.May

2.ELECTRICITY AND WATER- Also on 30thJune owners will be required to start paying for their own electricity and water.(Prenisur will be contacting owners giving at least 2 weeks notice)

3.COMMUNITY CHARGES- The €300 we have all  already paid through our solicitors is being kept in a holding fund until the community is ready to be set up(Probably at the next AGM)Prenisur will pay contributions for unsold properties at this time.

4.NEW MAINTENANCE COMPANY-GERENS has gone. The new company are partners with Prenisur and will begin repairs and maintenance on Monday 11th.The site will be in top  condition by 3othSept.(At no cost to us)

5.The Administrator is aware of all the problems which owners have already passed on to him.He asked for 2 Spanish and 2 English representatives to help to prioritise the order in which repairs should be done. With agreement of the English owners present,Dave and Ken volunteered to do this. They are meeting with the Administrator next Wednesday.

We left the meeting feeling that good prgress will be made over the next few months.(In fact we have noticed that recently there seems to be a push on sales with more people being shown around)There was no need for us to pay for an interpreter as they provided  one.

FREE TVs-good news for you early completers-don´t give up hope-Prenisur promised to honour their agreement to provide these.

Good job it is raining this afternoon so I haven´t minded typing this.Off for a few drinks now though!!

It all sounds very positive and i am not feeling so bad i couldnt be there now.

Who were the spanish representatives?  is anna one of them? (the lady you all met at the road petition who was speaking to me).

Sorry, dont wanna bombard with questions but did they say what the procedure is with the electric water etc? do we have to sort our own contracts out and be there to changeover or anything?

Anyway,  well done people for being there to represent us..!!.... what good representatives we have!   And thanks to dave and ken for offering to act for us all.

Anything on the loungers?

sorry, i am sure full minutes will say it all.

suzanne

Thanks, Dave,  Ken. Most appreciated. Like Suzanne, I am just wondering what the procedure will be for us to change over the electricity, water etc.  I am sure there will be some info given to us. Also, will we be given a list of owners, do you think? I have also heard that other urbanisations create a website. I don't think all the owners are aware of the wondrous EOS, and it would seem expedient to be able to contact all owners perhaps.  Is that appropriate for us in the future? Perhaps anyone from another urbanisation can peek in and give us a few clues.  Margo

Margo, sorry for not getting back to you before now. That's great news re the Road of the Damned which affects us both.

Coto Real set up its own Owners Forum through a hosting company called Forumotion. It's free and based on the phpbb format which is used worldwide.

http://www.forumotion.com

Your Owners Forum can be either open or restricted. Coto Real uses a restricted version - Owners can get to the site but are not able to view the contents until they register and are verified. This stops tyre kickers looking for cheap thrills, and means you can publish and discuss private Community business that you may not want outsiders to see.

Our version is at www.cotorealduquesagolf.forumotion.com but you will only be able to see the Homepage.

Congratulations to Dave & Ken - every Urbanisation needs "volunteers" to try and push things on otherwise everyone sits around on their ass waiting for someone else to do it which of course rarely happens.

I would suggest, if you do set up your Owners Forum that Ken or Dave does it giving it legitamacy as the official Arenal/Prienesur site.

Setting up your own Forum is straight forward and doesn't require any particular expertise. Certainly if you contact me at wflem007@aol. com I'll help as much as I can.

Ken, When we spoke to Lillian in the office,  we asked about DIEGO, she enjoyed working  with him as he was willing to sort out problems that arose on a daily basis to help her out.  DIEGO is unemployed, he helped Mark and I out with our leaks, air con etc.  She has suggested he be re-employed, With no luck,  we are willing to support the GET DIEGO BACK CAMPAIGN, could this go to the meeting with you, is anybody else happy to support DIEGO.  GOOD LUCK TOMORROW.
