Thanks for that Martini, it's great to have some good news for once!

I have just spoken to Carmen as well, she says that HUMA and their new investors have signed a contract and that as soon as the builders are sorted out, work will start asap ''probably September after the August holiday''. She sounds very confident and optimistic.

She is on holiday from 8 August until the end of the month.

HI

Recieved message from CARMEN indicating financial agreement has been signed  and work will start September at the OASIS COUNTRY CLUB.  This certainly the best news we have had, lets hope it is correct.   Going out to Spain  last week in SEPTEMBER  so will see for ourselves if it is .   Hope we can post positive news to you all when we return.

I have also had a chat with Carmen and it all sounds positive but Huma Indalo are on holiday for August and whilst I do think OTCC will be built, I would be surprised if they had a re start in September

When a building site is stopped and new builders come on site ,there is quite a lot of detail to work through  before the new builders can start.....one is the cost measurement  of the current build and the new builders being satisfied with the standard of construction they are taking over and checking this

If the finance is agreed now in July, then a start before Xmas will be quick work

They also have a situation where many of the early contracts have expired and new completion dates have to be set and agreed

There is the matter of the individual guarrantees to be sorted...they will want the majority of buyers to stick with them and all this takes time

So a realistic start for me, and I am still in, is early 2010...hope I am wrong

By all means be positive but realistic.....at least it appears that Huma Indalo SL are not walking away from the project

They will of course blame all the delay on the credit crunch...and they may be right......many will just blame the ' Huma people' !!!...........let's hope it ends well

And you never know, 2010  may see some positive vibes on ACC which would be great for those still involved with ACC

Hi everyone

I don't know if anyone saw the programme on Spain this week, one I hadn't seen before.  I was absolutely shocked and horrified to see the MASSIVE extent of unfinished new properties and properties that people were living in but the actual site unfinished.   In comparison with the UK, Spain has been hit far worse and many of the new builds will be moth balled altogether as many developers and builders have folded.  A very grim and upsetting picture because hundreds of jobs and money have been lost.  The reality of actually seeing how bad it is on TV was really distressing.   So to have the GREAT news yesterday about OASIS was fantastic as I know that many of us have waited years for our property to be built.   I know that many people have perhaps started legal proceeds against HUMA/INDALO but I think, taking everything into consideration, they have worked hard to keep afloat when many developers have "closed" and I think Carmen is really working hard for them especially during August which should be her holiday period.

It will be nice to read more POSITIVE postings from now on!

Positive words indeed but have Huma stayed afloat and managed to avoid paying people unless they were in danger of being declaired Bankrupt,In a bid to avoid  an investigation into there finances and the missing millions and the possibility of missapropriation of funds resulting in a stretch in jail,??

It makes you think!

This would be of great interest to my family as we own some of the land around the development. We have been approached by the building company as they wanted to lay drains across our land.

Hello Kat,

Could you tell us if this is a recent request from the builder, or is this from when the building started originally last year?

It would be very interesting to know this information.

Regards,

Alan and Sue

Hi,

I would also like to know if work has been stopped at OCC.

I have had nothing but a nightmare with HUMA, firstly ACC which i brought bacjk in sept 2005, then was persuaded to swich to OCC late this year.

I cannot obtain bank guarentees and cannot get emails answered. The last person who i emailed was Claudia

Is this ever going to happen? I wonder

Anyone contemplating legal action - be aware.

Many of us on ACC have gone down that route and after 15 months still no payment and no nearer. We are dependant on finding assets to place an embargo on.

However, most of the assets for Huma Med are at MCC - and many of those remaining assets have mortgages or embargos already on them. You do not get your money back until they are forced to be sold (I am  not aware that has happened yet). In most cases the charges far outstrip the commercial resale value -so the mortgage company gets the money first. So there is no value left.

The solicitors are quite happy to take your money up front and guarantee nothing (I think they know our chances but do not tell us truthfully). Legal action for us without BG's is proving fraught to say the least!

What assets do Huma Indalo have? Just be careful when you get legal advice - I say no more!

This is another balck hole if you are not careful!

John

Please everyone who are contemplating buying on this site     DO NOT DO SO .   We have been thinking of buying from a person called Leanne Cole who owns an estate agent business called Almeria property in Spain in Tabernas. Be aware that the people involved with this company are dishonest crooks.  We were told that everything was going according to plan, building was due to start again next week as August is when all Spanish builders have their holidays, there was no mention of any problems with the build or the site. We were ready to sign and pay our deposit but thought it would be a good move to ask around some of the English people who live in Tabernas what they new of the country club. Local people were all to eager to talk. We were told stories about this family (The Cole’s)  which would make your hair curl, they are con artists and liars of the highest order who have laid claim to being everything from  qualified estate agents, builders and electricians to window cleaners and swimming pool builders. We came across no one who had anything good to say about this family.  We were however pointed in the direction of a couple of other agents who had been selling these properties but had withdrawn them from their books. We were told of so many problems with this site, the builders have gone bankrupt, there is no toilet waste plant, no water pipes laid, no drainage pipes at all and on the plans we were shown there are no provision for any waste plant at all. From what we understand the land surrounding the site is privately owned and is not going to be transformed into beautiful park land as we were told and that the owners of the land have denied permission for water and drain pipes to be laid across their land. For these reasons the other agents selling these properties withdrew. They told us that these properties should not be for sale and only the lowest of the low would continue to sell the property of a company that had not only gone bankrupt but had not even got permission for the basic infrastructure to be put in place. We will not be buying on this site but wish you all good luck with getting your money back (you will need it) apparently no one has succeeded as yet!

Good information there from John and Julie. Thank you.

I believe our earth world and the www knows about the Spanish property market, it's development / planning regs and selling strategy.............nuff said .................

Re ACC, (sorry on the wrong thread) I'm out and fighting hard for my deposit refund like so many. My property was 80% complete when they stopped so I truly hope they re start the build on OCC and ACC because then this developer will have  real trouble re selling those plots originally sold and now in a claim disputes.

So you would think , well logic would say, that this developer would make the refunds so they can re sell honestly and hassle free and move on....................... Hmmm....................we will see. But I guess they will just add more bad to the reputation their industry has already got.

What do you think the state of the properties at ACC will be now after 4 years with out any work done on them?  I don't think I would want to buy one now.

Following email from Parador Spain yesterday.....

----- Original Message -----

Sent: Monday, September 07, 2009 4:55 PM
Subject: Parador Spain - CHANGE OF EMAIL ADDRESS & Huma Mediterraneo

This email is being sent to all Huma Mediterraneo buyers who purchased through Parador Properties Limited

PARADOR SPAIN Emails

I am sending this email to let you know that, due to circumstances beyond our control, the email server which Parador Spain inherited from Parador Properties Limited in the UK when the company went into administration in 2008, has been closed down. Unfortunately we did not receive prior warning. We cannot receive emails but can currently send.  However, this will cease in the next few days.

You can contact Parador Spain about your Huma purchase and all matters relating to it from now on by sending an email to me by using our sister company, Signature Spanish Homes’ email address  grahamm@signaturespanishhomes.com       Signature Spanish homes was inaugurated after the demise of the Parador Properties Group.

The Parador Spain office telephone number remains the same 0034 96 572 2300.

HUMA MEDITERRANEO – CUEVAS DEL ALMANZORA, TABERNAS, MAZARRÓN

We continue to speak to Huma Mediterraneo about the progress or otherwise with their developments.  We also read comments made on various “forum” websites.

Huma have themselves advised buyers at Almanzora and Tabernas that work on Thabernax Country Club will recommence in October 2009 following an agreement they have reached with a third party to provide finance to see the project through.  This still appears to be the way things are but, until we have told Huma that, for us to be convinced that this correct, we must be provided with documentation.  So far, this has not yet been forthcoming.

There is a similar scenario with Almanzora Country Club.  We know that the planning “mess” has been finalised to the extent that the new Cuevas del Almanzora town plan is approved with some or all of the ACC land allocated as building land.  What we have not yet seen is a copy of any formal planning approvals for the development proposals. Again, until we see this for ourselves, we are not prepared to advise anything more about the situation.

No further development is currently proposed at the Mazarrón Country Club.

I’m sorry that I can’t tell you anything more than this at the moment.

PARADOR PROPERTIES AND YOU

We will continue to advise all Parador Properties buyers of any news we receive

However, as we have not always been kept advised of the individual circumstances of all buyers we would appreciate you advising us if you would prefer not to receive any further communication from Parador Spain.  Please send an email confirming this to graham@signaturespanishhomes.com

If we do not hear from you we will continue to provide you with information as we receive it.

Yours sincerely,

Graham Martindale

Parador Spain

I'm reading the comments made on this forum and I think some are wrong. They are telling customers that Tabernas works will be restarted in October 2009, but I think this will not happen.

I do not think any investor to enter the completion of construction.

This rumor is another lie from the promoter.
