Hi Folks.

Me and Mrs Welshwizard are due to arrive at Condado on Thurs morning (day after tomorrow) for our first visit since Oct 2006.

Completion was done by Lawyer last month.

We have a hire car waiting for us at the airport and I know this question MUST have been asked on here about a thousand times already, but can anyone give me quick directions from Alicante airport to the PW site office at Condado please?

I have been told it's quite easy but I will be tired (and grumpy) when we arrive and the last thing I need is 3 hrs of my misses saying......... "I though you said you knew where you were going".

Gentlemen, I hope you are sympathetic to my concerns.

Seeya all soon.

WW

PS. My SatNav is hard wired into my car here in the UK so can't take it with me. It will be a map and compass job.

Hi WW

Taken from a post someone previously posted, hope it helps

Phil

From Alicante airport take the A7 towards Murcia,

Stay on A7 till you pass round Murcia.

Stay on A7 until you see sign for Autovia Alhama De Murcia - Cartegena which is the RM02 towards Cartegena. Take the second exit, which is signposted Mazarron and is the RM03. Condado is about 2 miles on the left.

Brilliant.

Thanks PGM.

Hope it's as easy as it sounds.

Seeya.

HI WW
We bought a Michelin Spain & Portugal 2008 edition tourist and motoring atlas. It looks good the roads and motorways are clearly marked and is easy to read. (havent told mrs LRJ thats she has to navigate me she thinks I have been studying it but all I have done is marked places where we SHOULD be going)

Hi WW,

when we were over in July our satnav didn't recognise the new roads and we didn't manage to get an updated map either, just went by roadsigns

We took the same directions as PGM said and found it no problem.

Hi WW,

We completed a couple of weeks ago. One thing to point out. Finding Condado is fairly straight forward. Finding the Polaris 'completions office' (or whatever they call it on your instruction letter) is another matter entirely as it's not signposted. So to stop you wandering around aimlessly like us, and many others we met, here are instructions (as best as i can remember).

- Once off the motorway and at the main entrance roundabout (one with big concrete condado sign on it) go straight across / slightly right .
- As you come down the hill it'll be a big expanse of dusty nothingness / building site on your left and a long lay-by of finished parking spaces to your right (with golf course behind the fence and Naranjos in distance).
- Just before first roundabout you'll see a large grey portacabin looking building on the left that looks like it belongs to the building site. There'll probably be building trucks driving around near it. I think it says customer service on a small sign on the back of it. This is the building you need so either turn off left at the roundabout into the dusty 'field' or double back on yourself and turn in by the building.
- The main door is on the side of the builing by the road (it's a very non descript door that doesn't really look like you should be using it).
- Once inside you'll suddenly find a proper office and a handful of polaris people!

Hope that helps and enjoy your visit

Enjoy.

Caroline

Here are some more detailed directions, hope they help.

Directions:

From the Airport follow the signs for Granada and Almeria AP7 / E15. Stay on the motorway and as you come to Murcia city continue to follow the signs for Granada. Continue on the motorway heading for Granada and Almeria. As you near Alhama de Murcia look for Junction 627. Get into the Right lane for both the 627A/B. (The first turn off (627A) is for Alhama de Murcia). Take the 627B exit which is immediately after 627A (sharp RT) – signed ‘Beaches de Mazarron’ and ‘Mazarron Cartegena’. At Junction 627B you merge with the RM2.Take the second exit which is junction 4 (it goes from Junction 1 straight to Junction 4 – missing out 2&3) for Mazarron and the road is now the RM23. Condado de Alhama will be signposted shortly after.

When arriving at the roundabout at the Resort, go Right = 1st Exit, keep driving – next roundabout straight on, at the next roundabout go back on yourself, veer first right into the carparking area, look for a gap in the security railing approx 300 metres up (you will see a security hut).
