Spanish car on sale in Cambridge

Having just read the Fm Radio thread where it mentions television reception and recieved channels - thought this might be of use?
We originally managed to recieve a few spanish channels and BBCNews 24 and Sky News. This was just suitable for knowing what the world was up to and quick weather check etc. We thought we would wait and see about any other possibiliies.
When I went out in March and switched on the television there was no signal to the television and no reception. I checked all the leads etc and then went to see Keymare, who said have a word with Teo on the gate. I spoke to Teo and he promised he would ask Keymare or whoever and to be honest I thought that would be the end of the Tv.
Teo came down to our block about 15 minutes later and explained somebody had told him check a circuit breaker on the side of one the small blocks near the bottom of the stairs.(not the ones immediatly at the bottom on left and right but more on the footpath).
The circuit breaker was 'off' and so he reset it and hey presto - Tv reception.....
We have now had the same thing twice where the circuit breaker is off, so we re-set and get the signal back. Have reported it to Keymare.
Sorry for the long waffle, but if your signal dissapears may be worth a go................?

       I believe that you have the solution ,because the TV/FM are the same socket ,and we also have no Spanish TV,therefore ,does the circuit breaker control the whole block for TV are you in a duplex or apartment ,not sure exactly about the location of the breaker are we talking about out-side?

I have just posted a photo on the 'Thalassa' photo board on Eos. This shows the boxes I refer to.Photo is taken looking up from the bottom of the site. The fuse board / circuit breakers are on the far sides in the picture.Looks like one box per block?

           Thank-you for very much for your help ,the whole block must have no Spanish telly or FM ,including Noreen ,although ,she is on the other -side ,perhaps she could check it out or ask DB ,we are over next Wednesday ,does Teo speak English.You are a star.

Noreen managed a basic conversation with Theo in English (with her bit of Spanish thrown in) when we were there in May.

Interesting piece to read as we are in the same block as Ken and we used to be able to get those channels but we have just been out last week and we can no longer get them.

I have managed with the assistance of Minicar to restore Television and Fm radio via the internal sockets to block 28,I told Teo no-one called around ,so today I spoke to a workman as he pasted ,and guess what Minicar was correct ,it is just a question of flicking a switch in the external electric box,and 30 secs later it is all restored.Alan and Jayne,Noreen,we have a result.

Watching Spanish telly is an excellent method ,lots of people learnt English by watching American movies and television,they usually speak with an American accent.
We have just read in the local paper here ,that August weather has come now ,we do not want to go home,Noreen it is glorious.
We went out yesterday on our bikes and I got a flat tyre,would be the rear one with all the gears,we walked home because it needs a new one,we will have to sort it next time we are over ,cannot face it now ,the weather is so nice .
