I have just read a post on the Spanish forum of Thalassa community forum ,and there is a post from an owner ,who is concerned about the manner in which our administrators are reponding ,we are being neglected.

Therefore it is not a language problem or a  culture difficulty, both sides of our urbanisation are concerned, the poster has been unable to pay her/his community charges, money that the community needs.

The poster has appealed to the Presidente for her intervention

Ken,

I think this underlines the need for ALL owners to sign up to the Thalassa web site so that everyone can have their say on the problems and we have a debate with everyone concerned and not just the few who bother to interact.  The collection of community charges is a very serious issue.  There are many communities that have problems with owners not paying the charges, but what chance have we got if the administrators are not even trying.  There are communities who are near bankrupcy due to the lack of funds!

Maybe things will improve now that the administrators have increased their staff.  When I visited them last week the new staff member seemed keen and competent.

David

Hi
Have just returned from Thalassa - we called in to see Seasun regarding our uncollected payments.  On checking they had received our form and told us they will start taking the payments (including arrears) immediately.

One concern I had was on entering the building, there was no-one on "receptiion" but there was a great pile of standing order forms fully completed with bank details!  I told Luis I was concerned about this, but the response was yes we are collecting the information to process them.

He seemed more interested in trying to sell us the other services they provide ie property management

Leaving Bank details around is a VERY big concern.  Somehow a way must be found to sharpen Seasun up, or replace them.

Just had an e mail from Marisa which is the first contact I've ever had from Seasun. Maybe things are looking up

Dave ,
I also had one in the last week ,perhaps we should back off and give him the opportunity to sort things out,now that he has realised that we are not a push-over.

I have just returned from Thalassa & I visited Seasun yesterday morning.

I met Marisa who is very busy dealing with all the outstanding emails. I have suggested to her that a quick "we are dealing with your enquiry & will respond within x number of days" will help in reducing the number of repeat emails on the same subject.

Marisa is very pleasant, speaks excellent English & seems very efficient. I don't expect miracles but it is a step in the right direction.

The standing orders on the reception desk is a worry & I will pick this up with both Monica & Luis.

I agree with Ken that if we can give them a little time, we may see the results that we are looking for. That is not to say that they won't be challenged if things do not progress at a steady pace.

Noreen
