Dear Fellow owners,

I thought I would warn you all that whilst we stayed at our apartment last week, my brother in law  badly cut his foot on the posts surrounding the jacuzzi, as the post has become attached from the ground and has a very sharp edge to it!!!

I did report the matter to Noreen and the Key Mare rep as it is only a matter of screwing back in again.

In regard to the miss seling by Key Mare when we all purchased our properties, as we were all promised a gym/ spa area twice the size etc with quality equipment and we have a very sub std gym as we all know.

I have contacted my Spanish Lawyer who will act on our behalf if somebody could E Mail me  the original offer from key mare, as they see this as misrepresentation and believe we would have a case for compensation or a re- build .

Thanks

Noel

I have only returned from Thalassa about an hour ago & have only just picked up Noel's email about this incident.

It concerns me that Noel was told by Key Mare to report this to the VP.

If I can just clarify - any issues with equipment breakages or damage to the communal areas at Thalassa should be reported to Teo at the main gate.

For minor repairs Teo is able to purchase what is required & arrange for repairs. If it is something more serious then Teo will report it to Seasun for them to progress.

I will raise this issue with both Monica & Luis

Noreen

Noel

first of all I hope your brother in law has a speedy recovery from his injury and thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Hopefully this is the same injury that Lorraine reported on the new Thalassa website without identifying the dangerous equipment.

As Noreen has mentioned Teo has the power to purchase what is required for the less serious faulty equipment but what worries me is WHEN does he make the purchase and then WHEN does he do the necessary work involved? does he leave his position on the front gate in order to carry out these duties?

Dangerous problems need rectifying IMMEDIATELY but does the title handyman come under Teo's job description? the poor man can only be in one place at a time.

Teo is not the handyman. He is authorised to get someone in to do the work.

Brilliant break thank you, even though the weather could have been better.

I've answered all my emails too!!

Sadly, back to work today but only 2 weeks until I am back at Thalassa.

Regards

Noreen

It's all very well that the community takes on the repair, but the question is, was faulty or poor quality workmanship to blame? If so, it should be the builder's responsibility to put right.

You are quite right Grumpyoldgit the standards  have been  fixed to the tiled floor with quite small screws, this would be a totally inappropriate method even for a domestic unit . For a commercial unit such as ours these independant standards should extend 225mm into the concrete sub floor and be grouted in position alternatively they could have a 100mm square base plate which should be anchored into the concrets sub floor with 4 anchor bolts.  This is just another of the ways in which we have been short changed by Keymare. We must ensure we have accurate records for the costs of any repairs to put forward to Keymare in the near future.
