Hi Phil - I tried to take action against Smart Investor Services who mis-sold me my property with lies about rental income, capital growth, furniture pack, etc. I spoke to Trading Standards in the UK, as it was a UK company, but they were useless and advised me to consult a lawyer. The lawyer said I did have a case but it would take forever, and money I did not have, to take them to court.
I must confess that I gave up and, as I couldn't pay 2 mortgages with no rental income, I decided to move out here permanently.
My situation was not as dire as many on the forum who have lost deposits etc and I think it would be worth trying.
