Has anyone used the Car Hire Company recommended by this Site, Argus Car Hire? I believe they are not at Malaga Airport and you are taken to their Depot nearby. If this is so, how near are they, what standard of vehicle is supplied and is the vehicle returned to the same site? Any other info would be appreciated.

Sorry for delay in replying but unable to post for the last few days must be something wrong with EOS. We have used Argus car hire a couple of times, who by the way are just a broker but we certainly haven't had any probs with them and are using them again in October.

Hi Chills,
All we did was walk out to their van which is parked in the car park, paid our bill and they brought the car to us, no waiting , no queueing, no fuss and no hard sell of extra insurance either. On return of the vehicle all you do is write on the ticket you get when entering the carpark your space number and post ticket along with carkeys in the hole in the side of the van, couldn't be simpler.

hi chills I've used argus carhire about 2-3 times a year going to portugal and majorca and this week to italy and they are fine ... the car is always ready for you ...it may not be the latest model but they are usually in good nick and clean. they arrange to take you to the car if required
they seem to use all the left over cars from the summer rush to the holiday crowds and this is like the backup cars
one thing to look out for is the excess insurance that you have to take out or leave a serious deposit on you credit card.... charges for this are way to high and cost anything from 7euros to 15 euros a day....
i use a company in ireland who supply what is basically where you have to pay the excess for any damages then re claim it thro' their insurance policy and it is a whole lot cheaper 23 euro per week
blue insurance ie and honest i'm not on commision
