hi all i was wondering could someone give me the price of a scooter in carrefour at the moment please, as iam in spain next week an i may buy one for nipping to the shop, also were would i get it insured cheaply. thanks in advance .

Can't advise about insurance. Someone quoted Carrefour prices 2 days ago here at-
50cc moped 500 euros
100cc moped 900 euros

After being ripped off by a large spanish based british insurance company I have just insured my car with Vitalicio through their expat office in Rojales. Leisa is the office manager and her number is 966 73 16 91. I hope that this information is of use to you.

I got a quote for a scooter from linea directa english speaking. 49cc for 106 euros. you can get cheaper on the internet

Remember that you have to register it, i did mine in december it was 138 euros.

You have to register your scooter because when you buy it, it comes with no number plates, do this through a gestor mine took just over 2 weeks

Quick update. Currently there are no scooters available to buy in Carrefour and you can´t buy a scooter online. I haven´t come across any shop that would sell 50cc or 125cc scooters online. Weird, but true, it seems the only way to buy a scooter is via a licenced distributor, (might be your local scooter repair center), or buy it from someone on the second-hand market. I am currently looking for a Keeway Hurricane 50
