taking my motability car to spain

Hi all

could anyone give me some advice on bringing my motability car to spain, i have bought a property and we are looking to move over soon my motability car is new and it would seem a waste to hand it back or leave it in the uk with a relitive,

The motability component of DLA  which your car is provided under is not payable  if you move abroad, only the care component of DLA can in some cases be paid abroad.

thanks for the lnfo, i was told by a friend that if i informed the insurance company and took out extra cover i could take it over for six months at a time but he wasnt sure how many times i could take it

I would advise you to check with DWP if the mobility component (ie your car) is still payable for 'temporary' absences abroad. If it's regarded as a permanent move I think your car would have to be returned.
