Ryanair stopping some flights

Hi there,

I have heard that Ryanair will no longer be flying to Valencia due to some row between Michael Ryan (now there's a surprise ! ) and the authorities.

Some other airports may also be affected.

Has anyone else heard anything similar ?

I am hoping It its just an ugly rumour but think not somehow !

Yep,Its true i am afraid, Mr Ryanair has had a big fallout with the authorities and cancelled the route....

Mentioned back here a bit and plenty of news about this stoppage and the others on their website about it.

I see that they have made reus a base now that's fine by me as we are flying in to there for the new year to go to our place in Los altos near torrevieja.

And why all the way up at reus do you ask well at £45 return for me and the wife from 31st dec -5th jan it was a no brainer

conard i am assuming the price was actually £490 after he added £445 in extra charges

But then you've got a 6 hour drive to Torrevieja, plus the fuel and Tolls ?

4 and half hours from reus we know that because we usually drive during the tear and checked the time when last down in october half term and adding the car hire will still make it

45 for the flights

41 for the car hire

say 50 for the fuel 

that makes 136 pounds

return flight to murcia from either luton is £205 just for the return leg from murcia to luton and from luton to murcia on the 30th as they do not go on the 31st is £155 making a totoal of £360 without the car hire

Just booked 4 return flights with Ryanair from Prestwick to Malaga at £20 including taxes for mid January. Probably cost more to park car at airport

Have just had an e-mail from a friend who is based in Formentera, she has today

received an e-mail from Ryanair cancelling her flights which were booked as

follows. alicante to durham tees valley 24th february 2009

return Durham tees valley to Alicante  10th March 2009.

She was informed there wiill be no flights on this route

from 18th dec 08 till 28th march 09. The e-mail said her money

will be refunded into her bank account. SHE IS GUTTED as the

flights have been booked since july this year. Wonder if they pay her

interest for the 4 months they have had her money.???
