Usually a company director or directors upon accountants highlighting the fact they are insolvent will apply, via their accountant, to be struck off the registry of limited companies.

Knowing there will be outstanding debts, companies house is obliged to advertise in large national newspapers announcing the application to be struck-off, thereby averting legal action by their creditors.

However, if you are an astute company director, local government accountant or similar, one of the first things you will do over breakfast is to check these lists to ensure none of your debtors is applying to be struck-off, and if you see one you immediately lodge an appeal withe companies house pending your attemps to reclaim your debts via the removal of your goods or through legal steps such as the small claims couts etc.

I hope that helps,

Gillespie.

Hi everyone, I have previously posted on this thread and on the thread READY RENTAL PROPERTY !!!BEWARE!!!

Having read the unfortunate stories that have appeared after my previous warning, may I suggest some possible actions that may help.

I emailed the CEO of On Holiday Group, Steve Endacott a letter on the 25th May 2009 explaining the problems with RRP and the potential consequences to OHG from disgruntled property owners who were not paid by RRP. While I urged the CEO to suspend bookings from RRP pending his investigation of RRP and their known association with conmen, he did not reply to my letter. While I do not know if my letter was a catalyst for OHG to remove RRP from it's site or not, this hopefully has saved property owners further heartache and loss and curtail RRP from getting even richer from innocent property owners. I believe OHG have some questions to answer.

The OHG, Home from Home Brand lists one of their Partners as Furniture Direct Worldwide, whom Companies House have listed as a Director, James Malyon who is also a Director of RRP. As I have noted from the web many people have lost money to FDW this Director's footprint cannot be a coincidence. OHG must have been aware of this Director's involvement in both companies.

As someone on the thread has mentioned. OHG must be holding money due to property owners for rentals not paid to RRP, this was paid to OHG directly by their clients for property privatly owned as OHG were aware. Commission only was payable to OHG from these payments and the balance due to the property owner for the services that OHG's client's have received. OHG were warned in my letter of the 25th May of the potential problems and should have withheld payments to RRP pryor to the result of an investigation.

RRP were paid a listing fee to advertise on the OHG website, the reason many of us subscribed to RRP. We need to know what fee was paid to OHG for this listing, and if OHG have removed our listing from their website then we are due a refund from OHG. There is a case to answer that OHG fully endorsed RRP to sell it's services and failed to do due diligence and care checks on RRP, and that a full refund should be due from OHG.

Many people have mentioned in the thread that their fee to RRP was paid to Key Services or Day Cooper Adams. Companies are not allowed to wash money through third parties, claims should be made through VISA's insurance for these payments if they are out of date or Visa direct if they are not, as you should be able to prove you have had no dealings with these companies.

Keep in Touch

CEO of onholidaygroup has told me he cannot get in touch with thm either, he is in process of looking for substitute partner so looks as though they have done a runner or have gone bust,, either way I have lost out money paid to them plus loss of bookings.

Like a few on here I was ripped off by this mob but fortunately I paid by credit card on purpose, When I realised they had gone (in July)  I disputed my payment with my visa card company and this morning I was refunded my money back. If anyone has paid in a similar way may I suggest they do similar. Antone know if they are still trading or where they are as I am still owed 350 euro for a booking and would love to have a word with the directors. Cheers in advance.

I also paid by credit card, but my bank say I need proof that the company is no longer trading. How do I prove it? They are still listed with Companies House as active.

I had emails confirming 2 bookings and confirming the dates and how much I would be paid. A booking did happen but I did not receive anything. Basically I told my visa company they have not returned calls or replied to emails, also the payments were made to a company called daycooper adams NOT readyrentals. As such my I sent copies of all emails I had between me and rrp and asked who daycooper adams were, got my money back within 3 weeks. Go to the disputed item department of your visa provider, if i can get it anyone can. Good luck.

I was promised tenants and a rent for one week.  I arranged for keys and the property to be cleaned for the tenants.  This was over 2 months ago and I haven't received a single penny in rent from Readyrental Properties!

Lydia is the woman who kept badgering me to give her my apartment because she was so desperately short of properties!  When I finally did, I never heard from them again!  The property manager who looks after my apartment, me the tenants with the keys and did everything you would expect, but RRP and Key Lounges who work with them, changed their email address and their phone number doesn't work!

Magicinmoscow,

How did you manage to claim cash back from visa?

I tried with mastercard but they said because I paid RRP through a money transfer agent (IE moneycorp) I was not entitled to my money back. Im of course appealing this decision. did you pay them through a money transfer agent or direct with them. Let me know as i thought I had nothing to lose by using my credit card to pay.

Regards
