Hi all

I really don't know where to start. I've just realised I have ADHD at 50 and it's not helping, I already anxious enough. I don't know if this is the right forum area or even just forum; I can't find any subsection for my problem which is wills. Hopefully I can post on here and please do move me to a different area if I'm in the wrong place.

So my father, horrible man, wouldn't associate with me much as I'm gay. He was known as a bigot where he lived to, somewhere in Camposol, I'm not sure where. He was your typical homohobic golfing self-entitled white straight nan who lived bar maids, ask my mum. But she was no better anyway.

I hope to find out if he, if indeed he had a will, stated UK law or not. I know this is important.

Anyway they were all dodgy, I've since found out from a Spanish Lawyer I met in a Leicester Square Wetherspoons about the Spanish Law "La Legitima".

I never heard back but I understand it only on face value as I type.

I know he lived in Campasol, Murcia, I know not what sector, but I may travel and ask questions in the near future if I need to.

I do not speak much Spanish at all I'm afraid, but I sure would appreciate any help.

I know I need his death certificate but this is where problems occur. We didn't speak much, whilst I have all mabor of info, I do not know his address abroad, nor if he even had a will, but I do know they had a house, boomer era, and that they had some kind of funny financial set up.

I'll happily answer any questions, thanks for any help in what cone become a long, long journey.

My dad was not a good man, from my position anyway. So I hope that answers that angle.

There's a lot more to it I have no access to any family, for one, with good reason. 😒

I'm in the UK by the way. He died Feb 2023. I found out from his then partner's daughter, who hated his guts. As did his neighbours. His partner died over two years in Manchester of lung cancer whilst he said from the house he didn't believe so stayed in Spain.
