De Registering my stolen car

Hi, new to this forum, looking for advise on my stolen car. October 25th our car was stolen, it was reported to the Guardia Civil and insurance notified, after 1 week we still do not have the car back. The guy in the insurance broker, mentioned we have to de register the car, he said we probably need a solicitor, is this correct?

Hello John welcome to EOS
A solicitor/lawyer will cost you money. Why won’t your insurance broker/company deal with it that is what you pay your premium for? Perhaps ask your insurance if they will pay your lawyer’s fees.
