Wow... 1p off a Pint of beer ?
My local Pub put 10p extra (on a pint).. 3 weeks ago as extra duty. That 1p is hardly going to save the 10,000 pubs closing down every year.
Lets have Ken Clark as next PM at least he will remember when you could get well and truly P....d for 20p a pint.
