Hi Folks,

More on a subject much covered here - but as things change I thought I'd post my query.

Does anyone know anything about the Lope de Vega school in Benidorm?

I've been on their website but the English section only has one page (unlike the Spanish language pages, which have far more information). But nowhere does it say anything about how much the fees are.

My son is 11 and is in his first year of High School. I was originally hoping for him to attend a Spanish school as he learnt Spanish at primary school and is continuing it in High School. However, despite being very bright he struggles at school probably because he has mild Asperger's Syndrome. So I think coping with school in a language he doesn't know fluently might be too much for him.

I've heard good things about Lope de Vega school from people in Benidorm. Does anyone on here know anything about the school? Does anyone know what the fees are?

I have emailed the school but not heard back from them yet, and as time is passing (we will be moving in the summer holidays) I would like to get his school sorted out as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance for any advice or info

Stephanie

Hi, Our son attends the school, he is slighly older than yours, he is 13.

We pay approx 500 euros per month, 10 months per year, books etc are about another 500,

school dinners are about 140 a month and i think school bus is about the same although we never use it.

Are you living in the area already or thinking of moving over??

Rob

Thank you for your reply. It's good to hear from someone with actualy experience of the school. My partner has already moved out - Benidorm Old Town. We will be moving out to join him in the summer. Not sure exactly where we'll be living as the flat we signed for in Rincon fell through. He's currently renting in the Old Town but it won't be suitable for us as a family as it's in quite a noisy location. He's currently flat hunting for us when he's not working.

How old was your son when he started at the school? Does he like it there?

Thanks for the information - anything you can tell me is greatly appreciated. How much is the uniform?

Stephanie
