gas,elec,water,services

Hi everyone, just thought this would be the best place to ask for advice on getting my water gas and electricity services on in an appartment i purchased on hasienda golf complex, any advice i would be gratfull for as speaking to the companys their is a bit of a language barrier, by all accounts it seems a bit of a long winded process and as i caint be their all the time it is a bit of a problem, thanks in advance for any replys.

This is something that I do all the time, but unfortunately I don't cover that area.  Normally the agent or lawyer who handled the purchase should be helping you with this.  If you have someone who is trustworthy and can speak spanish then it's just a case of giving them an authority, copies of your ID docs, escritura and previous bills and they should be able to get things changed over for you.  Alternatively, it's a do-it-yourself job.... most of the utility companies now have someone who speaks english, so just be patient and I'm sure you'll get there in the end.
