D B S Why should we tell you all our business would it help to make you feel even more superior

God man you are a real Kn--head

In my experience people who boast about what they have are sadly trying to disguise shortfalls/failings in their personality

I have shown a little about myself.
I think sometimes it is useful to know where a person ‘is coming from’ when they make comments.  If they have experience in the field then what they say, for me, carries more weight.

I know what you mean, John.  To be perfectly honest, I haven't filled my profile section in because I've just been too lazy! MERRY ChRISTMAS TO ALL...

An interesting thread.  I prefer to stay reasonably anonymous but I have stated my position in terms Spain many times.  Have to say I rather agree with the Guru on this one.   If all I had to say in a profile was that I move to avoid paying tax (see DBS) - I think I would feel it was better kept quiet!!!!  Me - I pay A LOT of tax in the UK.  I put my children through private schools - and I use  private health care.  But you know what?  I feel I owe it to the country I am living in to pay taxes to it, and I get very irate with the expats who take money in hand for all kinds of things in Spain.    I have never complained that I have to pay to support either state education or the NHS on the grounds that I don't use them - and if you need to put this type of position in your profile, it is a bit sad.
