I have heard about a charge of 1000€ up front for marketing your house.

Apparently this is refunded upon sale.

Has anybody else heard about this as it seems amazing in this day and age!

I would not bother with companies who want money up front.  Normally all agents take a % of the property price that gets paid to them upon completion.

This % can range between 3% and 7% but normally most agents charge 5%
