Smoking ban, Does it apply to communities

Now that the government have banned smoking in bars, public places including childrens playgrounds, will this extend to communal arears around swiming pools in gated communities.

Not according to El Pais. Nor beaches, either.
However, why not vote it in? We have a sign banning smoking round the pool area but have a shaded gazebo at the side of the pools. Problem smoking round pools is that they cause a mess, especially when the butts get into the pool.
Bring it up at your next community meeting.

If there is a children's pool you could be in trouble though. Smoking is banned where therevare areas designed specifically for children.
