We have recently had a payment taken from our Bank for 18 euros to CUOTA.  I cannot find out what this is for.  There are no details and Bank not responding at the moment.  I think CUOTA means fees or payments but it still does not mean anything.  I know it is not Bank Maintenance charges because they have already come out.  We thought it may be something to do with community charges, but they come out in one lump sum.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP!

It sounds like the non-residents charge for having a bank account in Spain.  I think it should show up in your account as something like 'Carga No Residencia'.

I have 17.43 euros deducted every year for this - and so does my wife since it is a joint account. The funny thing is that we both pay at different times. No idea why.

Hope this helps.

Tom

Hi Tom

Thanks for that information.   We do pay a Bank Maintenance charge which we thought  included this non-residence fee.   What confused us is the word CUOTA (at first we thought it was a Company name, such as Iberdola or Aquaquest) but after receiving your information perhaps it is a non-residence charge because CUOTA does mean fees/charges.  You would think the Bank would be more informative.  When I go into the details for further info, the web page comes back saying 'error no information processed.????

Thank you - when we find out we will let you know

Hi Tom

I said I would let you know when I found out about the payment we had stopped out of our Spanish Bank.  Apparently it is an annual charge for using Spanish Debit Card.  We did not realize this.  Thought the Bank maintenance charge would include this.  Still I suppose it is cheaper than using your English Debit Card.

Hi guys

We have found out yesterday that San Jose are going into Liquidation..Has that  or is that going to have any effect on the Playa Golf`s. Me and my wife brought in Jumilla afew years ago and the project dosent  look like even taking off. We where offered a change to Playa Golf 3 afew monthes back, What sort of price are the White Lillys for in Playa Golf 3, 80sq.m overlooking a pool?

I`d be greatfully if people can give me some feedback and what are the good and bad points of Playa Golf.

Cheers.

Hi all,

San Jose Inversiones filed last friday its "voluntary bankruptcy" in the Mercantile Courts in Alicante.

All those with credits against this company should be aware that it is very important now to find an experienced Solicitor in bankruptcies and property, in order to defend your credit inside the bankruptcy process.

We are currently joining different creditors and assuming their representation, as the more we are, the stronger we become. Most of them are buyers of the project in Jumilla that can now see how their savings may be in high risk.

Please feel free to contact us for a free first legal advice.

Regards,

Hello 'D'

Fortunately I was never involved in a Jumilla situation but I sympathise with those who are. I have had my place in Playa Golf II for a couple of years and find it hard to think of any negatives (except that I can't get out here often enough). Playa Golf has various shops, bars, restaurants and a bank in the development and is pretty close to most other amenities such as golf, beaches, etc.

I know San Jose still have quite a few unsold 's Azucenas (i.e. what Atlas call the White Lily) for sale in PG II and they are just finishing off PG III which I am sure will also have some unsold. I don't know about overlooking a pool but they are all pretty close to the communal pools.

As for prices, I don't really have any handle on it but I would think you would be talking in the region of 190000 euros before any discounts you might manage to negotiate.

Hope this is of help and good luck with whatever you decide.

Tom

Hola D

We reiterate everything Tom says about the convenience of Playa Golf 3 to all amenities, golf, beach etc.   We were in a similar situation to you with SJ building plan in Albetera.   We bought off plan and paid 50% deposit and then we waited, and waited, and waited.  They still have not got planning permission to build and all the show houses are deteriorating fast.  This went on for about three years and in the end we demanded either our money back or somewhere else to go.  They offered us Jumilla, Playa Golf 3 and some other properties.  We went to Jumilla and although it was a beautiful setting we thought it was a bit far out, especially if you wanted to go to the Beach for a day. (good job we did not go for it in the light of things).  We visited Playa Golf 3, which was under construction at the time, and although initially it was not quite what we were looking for, we are now glad we chose this complex.  There are a few properties around us still empty but when it gets more established  and the gardens matured, it will obviously look much better.  We have sea views from our apartment, and even better views at night.  It has a nice friendly atmosphere and there is always someone to help if you have a problem.

As for prices I think you are in an excellent position to negotiate and there are plenty to choose from.  I am sure any realistic offer would be accepted.

All the best in your decision

How are you bobshe?

As you can tell a number of us had some inspiring news regarding the transferring of our money to a property of Playa yesterday.  It has been a rather traumatic time for all that decided to look into this option, and it was only confirmed within the last 48 hours that the Administrators have approved the Contracts and see that this is a good option for both the Company and ourselves.

Our understanding is that quite a number of Jumilia folk are now seeking this option (but keeping feet firmly planted  and the Legal route optional just in case).  It seems a great place, although totally different, but then things change for many of us in 3/4 years from our initial opinions.

Hope your weather is wonderful, and we are now looking forward to joining you.  Everyone we met in May on our stay was friendly and offered sound advice (some from mistakes), but no one had anything other than solid advise and a good nature to offer.

We are looking forward to joining you soon (holiday home at this stage) as are many others from todays pm's.

Take care

martin and sally
